Hi … and Rip and I hope you had and are still having a very Merry Christmas holiday with family and friends! We still are having some sweet time with kids home from school and friends coming to visit, so that’s why there has been some “silence” from me to you. I’ve literally been so involved in memory making that well, it’s been absolutely wonderful!!
But our next bible study lesson, Merciful Living, is coming right at the first of the new year! Rip and I have a little planned “get away” to bring in the New Year, but once we are back home and starting into the new week, the WONDERFUL weekly routine of ministry and Interior Inspirations business, we will be kicking off in full swing!! And we are THRILLED about what is ahead!!
But for now Rip and I thought we’d share with you something we are going to be doing starting January 1.
Experiencing God, by Henry Blackaby, is a 10 week bible study that I worked through years ago and I still remember how much it taught me about God…how He works, how to see Him in every day life, and how to know His will and how to experience Him.
That is why, starting January 1, 2016, I will be working through this book: Experiencing God Day-by-Day.” It’s a 365 day devotional book that has short morning or evening devotions, with lines on each page for journaling. Rip and I like reading devotionals together, and this seems to be the perfect one for us because of where we are as a couple.
We both want to experience God daily, in our individual life and in our life as a couple.
These daily devotions really speak to the heart and each day challenges you to align yourself with truth – with God – with His voice – in “your” life. He will not speak to a wife in contrast to His voice to her husband and vice versa. To experience God as a couple means you are opening yourself up to experience Him first individually. You want to hear His voice. You want to know His will. You want to follow His leading. And you want to live out His purpose for your life … day by day.
When we are doing that, we are experiencing God afresh, daily, intimately and relationally.
