Bold Prayers

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”  Hebrews 4:16

Drawing near to the throne room with confidence means to come boldly to the throne of Jesus.  Pray like it depends on God.  It does.  Your bold prayers, those things impossible with men; are possible with God.  Do you find yourself in a place of holy desperation?  There is no one else, not yourself, not your mama, not your daddy, not your neighbor nor your friend, not your pastor, nor your teacher, NO ONE who can make this right for you.  Quite honestly, the only ONE who can turn this thing around, is God Himself.  It’s called Divine Intervention.  We all need it.  We need Him to intervene on our behalf.

Desperate times call for desperate measures.  The Bible says, “If we seek Him, we shall find Him, when we search for Him with all our hearts.”  Are you praying desperate prayers?  Are you believing God for the impossible?  He can make a way where there does not seem to be any other way.  My dear brother or sister, “lift up your heads unto the hills from whence comes your help. You help comes from the Lord, the maker of heaven and earth.”  He’s the One, you are praying to.

Remember Thomas, the doubting disciple.  He would not believe that Jesus had resurrected, until he touched His hands and His side.  He needed proof.  You and I already have the proof that Jesus is alive and well, sitting at the right hand of the Father.  He lives to make intercession for us. Why would we pray weak, timid, ineffectual prayers?  The God we serve, the One who saved us; sees, hears and knows all about you.  He knows your deepest needs, wants and desires.  Pray to Him, evening, morning and at noon.

We must have confidence to come boldly before the throne room of grace, to find help in time of need.

Prayer in Motion:

Oh God, I cry out to You this day, for divine intervention. (Name the person or circumstance you are confidently praying about.)  I am trusting You to accomplish what concerns the person or situation, for which I am petitioning You.  Jesus, I am laying this at Your feet.  I am believing You for healing, restoration, provision, protection (or whatever you are praying for).  You are God alone. I will never stop praying boldly to You, my Lord and My God!  In Jesus Name.  Amen
