Sometimes you just need an indulging “feel good food.” And these chicken crescents do the trick! They are so super easy to make and are simply delicious. I found the recipe off another bloggers page Nutmeg Nanny.
Ingredients (makes 8)
2 (8 count) packages Pillsbury crescent rolls
20-24 ounces cooked shredded chicken
6 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 tablespoons finely chopped onion
4 tablespoons finely chopped celery
Salt and pepper, to taste
Recipe
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Open crescent rolls and press two rolls together at the seems. Creating 4 large crescent rolls.
In a bowl with an electric mixer add chicken, softened cream cheese, butter, minced onion, minced celery, salt and pepper.
Mix together on low until you form a creamy mixture.
Add mixture to the middle of each large crescent roll and tuck the corners up over the mixture. Creating the little packet seen in the picture.
If you get a little hole in your crescent roll simply pinch it back together.
Bake for about 15-20 minutes until the packets are browned and fully cooked on the outside.
