7HHH – Habit #2 Serving Bible Study

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Hi friend!

Well, I sat at Starbucks for 2 hours and 20 minutes yesterday trying to upload this video, (do you feel the love??) 🙂  …but then, I needed to come home and start supper. When I got home, Chris Miller, an AT&T technician was at my house (4th one so far) and he was here until 5:30. And Viola! Our bible study lesson is posted!!

This one is a wee bit longer than our last one (by 6 minutes)..it’s 29 minutes long, but I hope it is some real encouragement for you.

Habits – Serving Bible study PDF

Here are some verses for your jar! Hope you’re having such fun and finding personal strength in memorizing His Word throughout this series!

I’ve personalized each verse using words, “I”, “my” to inspire us to receive each word of promise to our own lives.

“But I trust in you, O Lord, I say, ‘You are my God.” Psalm 31:14

“I will … ‘Trust in him at all times, I will pour out my heart to him, for God is my refuge.” Psalm 62:8

“I will … ‘Put my trust in the Light.” John 12:36

“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid.” Isaiah 12:2

“If I trust in the Lord, I am kept safe.” proverbs 29:25

“I will trust in the Lord with all my heart.” Proverbs 3:5

“But I trust in you”

Lisa, the end of this video was so inspiring, it truly touched me.

Thank you for answering my question too.

You’re welcome and thank you for asking, too. So glad you were inspired…He is sure faithful, right?!

I say all the time “If God is pleased with me and what I am doing then I don’t really care what anyone else thinks.” I used to say if God and my husband are pleased but then I shortened it because when God is pleased my husband will be also. lol

I just commented with what I always say and the Lord just spoke to me about an area that I apparently do care what people think. Thank you Jesus for speaking to me. My blog. I haven’t put it out there and told people I know about it. As you know Lisa, it’s been sitting idle for quite a while but God just said “why are you worried about what people you know think of your blog? Isn’t it there to encourage other women? Christians, Wives, Mothers and Homemakers?” Ahem. Here I thought I was doing pretty well on the performing and serving and people pleasing.

AMEN!!!!!!! The Lord is definitely speaking to you friend, and I know you will be obedient!

Love how you shortened it… 😉

Oh, my heart. As a former people pleaser, this is SO true. Something we don’t talk about enough the BONDAGE that comes with performing for others instead of serving the Lord. Thanks for sharing your heart, friend. Love you.

It is a bondage…so well disguised. But when we see everything we “get to do” as SERVICE TO JESUS, it all changes. Love you too!

Thank you so much for sharing this. This video spoke to me like you would not believe. I am a people pleaser and put value in what people think. This year was awful because of it. I needed this video and the honesty of what was said. I felt like we were sitting in my den and you speaking to me. God is the one I need to serve and not put my worth in what people think, etc. God’s timing is amazing as I skipped this video somehow and came back to it today.

So glad you found it again :)) You are such a blessing!!
