Psalm 29:3
The voice of the Lord is over the waters, the God of Glory thunders, the Lord, over many waters.
As I read this Psalm today I just sat and listed all I learned about God’s Voice. I would like to share it with you:
It is over the water and it is a thundering voice.
His voice is one of power and it is full of majesty.
His voice is so strong it breaks cedars. A powerful storm is in His voice.
It is like lightening, flashing forth in all it’s brilliance.
The sound of it shakes the wilderness and it births things from nothing.
The very sound of His voice can strip things bare, laying open all things for His eyes.
The one who hears His voice has no choice but to cry out “Glory”!
When our Father speaks, He is seated on His Throne and sees everything…nothing gets past Him.
The sound of His voice should strengthen us. He loves to give His children strength as He speaks over us.
Upon hearing His voice we are blessed with His peace. A peace that transcends all of our understanding. We are at peace and all we can do is be still and listen. Once flooded with His peace we can lift up our voice to meet His, the two intermingled in Glorious song.
2 Samuel 7:22
Therefore You are great, O Lord God. For there is NONE like You, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.
