Hey everyone! I hope you had a good Valentine’s day and that your week is off to a great start.
I am so excited to be able to “talk” with you today. I am also very excited after 20 plus years of friendship to literally be “working” for Lisa! She and Rip shared with you that I will be the Ministry Assistant for Interior Inspirations. This came about as a result of Rip’s new job leading them to Mississippi.
While in Mississippi for 2 weeks, Lisa stayed with me and my family for one of those weeks. It was during this time that I got to “see” what I knew in my heart was going on with Lisa. SHE. IS. BUSY. Other than my own mother, I have never seen one woman do all she does in a day!
As we sat over coffee many mornings and ran around all day together, it became so apparent that Lisa and Rip needed some help. Not because they don’t do all things well but because this ministry is growing and God is the reason it is growing. Their hearts are called to ministry and it really is their life’s desire to love God and His people with all they’ve got! I am simply here to help facilitate that and keep things running smoothly. Lisa and Rip will still be doing what they do…..and that is reaching out to you!
I am here to help, plain and simple. I will be organizing our team and helping us be more intentional about the content on our site. From time to time I will also contribute to the Members section. As the need arises I will be assisting Lisa from time to time in our clients homes as well. Our getting to work together is really what we have been doing our entire friendship, this is just our way of making it a little more “official”.
Today I not only wanted to introduce myself, but to also let you know that on the Members section of our site there is a bonus series on prayer. Some of you may have been following the 2 week series on prayer that I just finished up. Well, I wanted to give you all a little something extra so I am sharing with you my personal experience of prayer and fasting. It will be posted for 7 days starting tonight! As I ended each day of my 7 day fast I kept a journal of what all God was teaching me. I hope it is an encouragement to you should you ever feel led to spend some time in the spiritual discipline of prayer and fasting.
Again, I am so excited to continue in the work that God has called Interior Inspirations to and I look forward to getting to know you and serve you.

What a blessing you are friend…such an answer to mine and Rip’s prayers. We DO long to serve people with excellence (something a dear pastor-friend of mine years ago taught me…thank you Mark Anderson!) But as this ministry and the business continues to grow, Rip and I saw that our abilities to manage all things solo was not God’s plan…and that is when Rip said to me one morning at our kitchen table, “You know baby, it may be time to ask Rene to really come on board.” THANK YOU!!! I know the members of this ministry are going to be SO BLESSED by you, your input and ideas….and girl, just wait until we are out there working in clients homes together! What a blast it will be to share with everyone some real “duo-decorating” that two sisters can do!
Gotta run…have an entire bathroom to tile with my man! My love is deep!
