Recipe for Ambrosia

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Spring is one of my favorite seasons of the year for such bright & colorful reasons! To sit back and watch all the flowers, trees and shrubs begin to show off all new lusters of rich greens, vibrant yellows, “come near shocking” pinks and radiant reds?! It’s so awesome! Because God is behind it all! He is the master painter of the petunias. He is the artist behind the gold dandelions and the purple pansies. I love the spring because we get to see just what a remarkable Creator He is, …. down to the smallest detail inside of a blooming tulip.

I think this is why I was just drawn to a duck egg blue bowl the other day while out shopping with my mom. It was sitting on an old wooden distressed shelf, mixed in with a bunch of old vintage pieces of pottery and glass ware. But as I held it in my hands, we both could just see either some bright orange ambrosia or yellow corn inside the bowl, while serving it to my family!

So, that’s exactly what I did!

Hi Karen! Yes, I can be at her and dad’s house in just 10-12 minutes! LOVE IT! I picked her up one day and we ran to a local consignment store together and that’s where I found my little blue bowl! haha!

Lisa, this recipe is beautiful and so delicious especially this time of year! My mom makes a delicious recipe similar to go along side her coconut cake at Christmastime. I just wanted you to know what a blessing your You Tube videos have been for us! I’m married with my own family now, but she raised me with a love to cherish my home and family like you do!! We sometimes watch your videos together when we get a minute of girl time with some coffee. Thanks for doing this and sharing your inspiration of the Lord and for life with us all!!!
    God bless you,
    Leslie

Hi Leslie! It’s May 9 and I’m just now reading your sweet and very encouraging comment! Thank you so much, and I love that mom and daughter coffee time, too! Isn’t it such a legacy when our mom’s not just “tell us” how to live as Proverbs 31 wives and mothers, but they model it? Enjoy that special time with your mom and … I’ll be shouting out to you both soon, in my next video series because it is going to be all about “Habits of a Happy Household.”
