Patience and Repentance

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

God’s patience…..how in the world does God display such patience? His anger and His wrath toward sin and Satan far supersede anything I could ever wrap my mind around.  There is no way I can accomplish the wrath of God, it is His and His alone.  If God has this kind of patience then why would I think that He would expect any less of me? The God of the Universe displayed patience that not one of us could have shown. He watched His only Son die a brutal death so we can live. He watched. He looked away when Jesus needed His help. Can you imagine turning your back on your child? That’s what He did. For you and for me. He had every right to unleash His wrath then and now, and yet He waits.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

He waited for me. He waited for you. He is waiting for you. Quite simply, Barnes’ notes on the Bible says it this way; ” God has a sincere desire that people should be saved.”

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16

THIS IS PATIENCE

Father, I want to thank You for saving me and for saving my sisters reading this. Lord, if any ladies are reading this and they don’t know Jesus as their Savior, I pray that today will be the day of their salvation. I pray that they come to repentance and receive the gracious gift of salvation that you have made available. Thank you for letting Jesus die for us. Thank You for waiting for me. Thank You for waiting for them. Thank You for Your sincere desire to see people saved. Thank You that I am one of those people.

In Jesus Name. Amen.

Thank You Lord for being so patient and long suffering with me and all those who will come to repentance. Thank You so much! I don’t even have words to express my heartfelt gratitude. It means eternal life for all those who have invited You into their heart.

    Thank You Rene!
