Do you have a secret that no one knows except you and God and the person who was in on the near catastrophe with you? I laugh out loud every time I think about it. My friend and I vowed we would never tell because she helped me rescue the food involved.
So now you know it involved food. It could have been a food tragedy. What I won’t tell you; is what happened, when it happened and with whom it happened. We can be like Lucy and Ethel together from the “I Love Lucy Show”. We’ve been lost together; found together, prayed together, cried together, worshipped together and just enjoyed hanging out together.
I’m such a free spirit; it’s a wonder I have a friend in this world. Yet, I have many precious girl-friends who love me as themselves. What a blessing indeed.
What’s our secret? It’s called GRACE. We know how to give each other grace and a lot of it. God says in His Word, “To whom much is given; much is required.” That can be money, time, talents; and keeping a confidence. When you love someone as you love yourself; you will go to the ends of the earth to help a fellow sister out, in her time of need.
Girlfriends in Christ love one another through thick and thin. We honestly just love being together. We can say nothing or talk our heads off. We are comfortable with either. My dearest friends know how to keep a secret. They only want what’s best for one another. They will listen and when asked; advise.
Prayer:
Lord God, You are the best secret keeper and You alone can reveal the hidden things. Thank You for giving me friends who know how to keep a secret. I pray You will bless them and bless them indeed. I love You Jesus. Amen.
