Breathe Again

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Well, it happened again tonight. That ride home from Church, a song on the radio. God repeats things with me from time to time. Repetition is good, He speaks in repetition.

So, I am on my way home just like I was last week (see last Sunday nights post) and I heard “You Are Everything” by Matthew West. I am sorry to say that  I have heard this song many times before but it didn’t move me till tonight. It’s a “catchy” tune and an easy listening type of song. But tonight when I heard the words below,  I was like:

“THAT’S IT! THAT is how I feel! Right now, THIS moment right now, THIS song,  is how I feel God!

Thanks to you Matthew West for so perfectly articulating my feelings and I am sure the feelings of many others. Thank you God for helping me to express myself back to you through the lyrics of this song. Remember, it is all about the lyrics for me. So here is the chorus. I think you will see what I mean:

You are everything that I live for
Everything that I can’t believe is happening
You’re standing right in front of me
With arms wide open
All I know is
Every day is filled with hope
‘Cause You are everything that I believe for
And I can’t help but breathe you in
Breathe again
Feeling all this life within
Every single beat of my heart
You’re everything good in my life
Everything honest and true
And all of those stars hanging up in the sky
Could never shine brighter than

You

Feeling all this life within……this is what being alive feels like for a Christian. It is hard to put into words, it is hard to express. It is just one of those things that you feel deep inside, and you know that you know that you are alright. You are right with God. You have peace within, peace with others and most importantly you have peace with GOD. It’s that feeling that you get when you know you are doing what you have been put here for.

The size of the task is not what matters. It’s the WHO and the why that makes you alive. When you realize that you are alive and doing what you do because Jesus died for you, when you realize you can’t pay the debt. but you can serve the One who did, well folks it just doesn’t get any better than that

So in the morning when you open your eyes, just breathe. Take in a nice deep breath and breathe in Jesus.  Feel the life within you stir, put your feet on the floor, stand up and breathe again. Breathe again so you can “breathe out” on everyone you come in contact with tomorrow. You may be the only breath of fresh air they get all day. You may be the only way they will hear that HE is everything!

Living (and breathing) free,

Rene’

Good Work. I love hearing from you ladies. I was just telling someone yesterday that I feel like I’m bursting at the seams and bubbling over. It’s the Lord. I so admire the way you express the Lord in words. It’s good to hear from you and keep driving home from church so we all can enjoy your thoughts. Pam B.
