Anxiety

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“Anxiety in the heart of a man weighs it down but a good word makes it glad.” Proverbs 12:25

You feel it rising up in you!  It makes some people flee from the place upon which they are standing.  Doctors write millions of prescriptions yearly, to help people with this disorder.  So, what’s it called?

                                                                                      ANXIETY

This most wonderful time of year can herald the worst cases. More people commit suicide, die of massive strokes and heart attacks, during this “season to be jolly,” than any other.  It’s so sad.  Christians are not exempt.  Our flesh can become anxious in a nano second.  Why?

Circumstances change.  Health issues arise.  Financial crisis occurs.  Accidents happen.  Life is full of changes.  Yearly changes. Monthly changes. Weekly changes. Daily changes! Why do you think God placed this verse in His Word?  He knows our flesh and He knows how anxious we can become.

So,what is the remedy?  Is there a remedy?

1 Peter tells us to “Cast your cares upon Him for He cares for you.”

Sing praises and pour out adoration upon the One who can erase anxiety.  God promises, “He inhabits the praises of His people.”  Lift up your head sweet one and no matter how you feel; Praise the One who has made a way for you to rejoice. Your name is written in the Lamb’s book of life.

There are people who deal with chronic, debilitating depression/anxiety disorder. They have to take their medicine.  I would never suggest that you throw it away.  You can still praise the Lord with your mouth and your heart.  Never give the devil and opportunity.  He is a thief and a liar.  He would have you to take your life but Jesus came to give you life.

You are always an overcomer!  You are always victorious!  Tell Satan to “BE GONE, IN JESUS NAME.”  He has to flee at the mention of Jesus Name.

Daily, moment by moment, praise the Name of Jesus.  The enemy cannot have you; not today, NOT EVER!  You belong to God!   Praise His Holy Name!

Prayer:

Lord God, I do love you so!  I praise Your Holy Name!  I belong to Christ, the Son of the Living God.  You have set a seal over my heart.  You see me, right where I am.  You are for me and not against me.  I trust in the Lord Most High!  I cast all my anxiety upon You!  In Jesus Name. Amen
