“So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, we must work for the good of all, especially for those who belong to the household of faith.”
God wants to bless us and our hard work and efforts for His Kingdom as long as we are doing it unto Him. Our verse today is full of encouragement for our walk with God. We see clearly in this verse that WE WILL REAP. We must be patient and not give up while waiting for the harvest.
Every day we need to look for opportunities that GOD sends, we don’t need or have to go looking for them! This verse also says, “we must work”. Let us never lose sight of the fact that there is some “doing in our being”. (Beth Moore ) As we work we must do it for good for everyone. Clearly, it is not all about us.
Finally we must remember that our work is especially for our brothers and sisters in Christ, “those that belong to the household of faith“. If we are not encouraging the brethren then how can we go out and reach those who don’t know Jesus yet? Today find a member of the faith and do a kind deed for them. It could be a card, a call, a text, a flower, a meal….whatever God lays on your heart to do. Be a blessing to someone today and you WILL REAP , just be patient.
Pray with me today: “Father, please help me to be Your Hands and Feet today. Let my mouth be Your Mouthpiece. Let my eyes see the way You do and let me listen to everyone in my path and hear them the way You do. Thank You that I will reap as You have promised. In the name of Jesus, Amen.”
