I just wanted to stop long enough to let you know what is going on here at our home.
Since I got home from Mississippi Feb. 2, Rip and I have not slowed down. I have literally LIVED in yoga pants and his T-shirts! … and if I have left the house at all, it’s been to run down to Lowes or make a quick run to Kroger, and most of the time with paint splashes all over my clothes. I heard Pat, a woman at self check out, holler at Rip while he was standing at the end of an aisle, and said, “Rip, is that yo’ wife?!?!” I had my cap pulled way down, covered in paint, no makeup and was trying so hard to be incognito!!
When I got home, we both knew that the full master suite remodel HAD to be completed, and as some of you already know, we sold our house in 24 hours, before it ever went to MLS. So, I’ve been painting, caulking, packing, cooking around the clock for our two 73 and 76 year old help, keeping laundry up, house cleaned, and we literally have not stopped! We’ve felt great, too…no sickness. Not until today – (pray for me, k?)
And we are doing all this WHILE working our own businesses. Rip comes home from Kroger around 3:30 and works up until 12:00, and I have spent all last week decorating, shopping for and chalk painting for clients that I needed to complete. And we leave in 15 days.
We are exhausted, to say the least. We are so so thankful for how God answered a prayer of ours in how He is sending us to MS that we are running on joy, adrenaline and sheer “gotta get’r done” power of the Lord. Our strength is there, but we are so tired.
I WANT to make our next video in our bible study – “Being ALIVE“ which is all about living filled with the Holy Spirit. But to be honest, I wake up at 4:30, have my quiet time, get my yoga’s on, throw on a baseball cap and start painting around 5:30 and we go go go up until we crash.
What we would appreciate so very much is your prayers. We still have SO SO very much left … Rip is in there right now laying the new tile flooring in the new master bath, I am trim painting all the new crown molding that is in the addition and the baseboards (wondering what I am going to fix for supper – probably order pizza), still need to install some fixtures, deep clean and spread grout all in the new shower floor because our home is going to be appraised on Friday!! This Friday!
But soon as we get moved, I will (as soon as I possibly can) will get more video, and just share with you, our members, everything I possibly can. We will keep going in our bible study… but we will keep going in a NEW Home Series. (This new series is going to be all about this –
“Serve Like Nobody’s Business!”
You are going to have SO MUCH FUN with this new series, girls!! It’s going to take so much of what many of us have read – Fervent, (by Priscilla Shirer), Audacious, (by Beth Moore), and Lioness Arising, (by Lisa Bevere) and bring it all together to one new series that will target only ONE area of our life – SERVICE!! SERVING OTHERS – and “how” we are to do that with power, intentionality, boldness, courage, kindness, strength, mercy, grace, and the attitude of our Lord, Jesus Christ —– and the Fuel behind it all is the INSPIRED WORD OF GOD!!
Whoo Hoo! Y’all!! I am so excited about the new series — but until then, I WILL have 2-3 more videos to post on what I’m covering now – this is “YOUR Life and Home.” The uniqueness of our lives, the uniqueness of our families and of our homes…it should all be prioritized and priced!!
There is still so much I long to address in that one series, that as soon as I can breathe again, I want to share just a little more and challenge us all a little more in seeing, really seeing, the seriousness in grasping this truth:
“Our life is ours. No one will live our life for us. We have bene created by God in His image to be lived unto His glory and for our good. Our life and our home is to be accountable only to Him and is to be the picture of His holiness as HE has designed.”
In the last videos to that series, it’s my hope to inspire us to understand just how to tap into our created uniqueness, embrace it, celebrate it, how it is to bleed into our homes and give it all back to Him in worship – (which is our life of service). A great lead into our next series!!) “Serve Like Nobody’s Business” – could also be titled, “Worship Like Nobody’s Business!”
So, hold on with us, please. And I sure hope as we make our new house our “Home Sweet Home” that you will be blessed because I really do want you to be along with us. I’d love for you to join in and share your thoughts…and most of all, I just can’t wait to get back into the Word of God with YOU!
So, thank you for your prayers. Thank you for your understanding. Thank you for your patience and most of all, thank you so much for just being our friends. Being in this journey with us, and for ALL the love and encouragement so many of you have sent to us! My gracious, it has meant so much!
I will tell you this….2 mornings ago, as Rip prayed thanking God for ALL He was doing, thanking God for sending His Son to this earth, thanking God for how overwhelmed he was by His goodness, tears landed on his bacon. Y’all know what a tender hearted man Rip is, and well, all this … all of your sweet messages and emails … it’s all just plum overwhelming.
Thank you so much for being our friends. And as a “member” your support is helping in so many ways be able to keep this ministry going and Rip and I thank you!!
In His Grace and Love,
Lisa
Lisa, you and Rip are continually in my prayers. God woke me up a couple of nights this week ….to get up and pray…There are times I lay in my bed and pray. I first prayed the Lord’s prayer as I’ve been encouraging II Bible Study readers to do…..You and Rip have such contagious Christianity. Your goal to let Christ be made known in all you do…..well, God Himself is fulfilling the desires of your heart! Isn’t He wonderful? I can’t wait to see all that He will accomplish in and through you as you move into this next phase of life. I do love you both so much!
Libby, oh how I love you and feel the same about you!! So blessed by how our Jesus lives in and through you, friend!! I can’t ever thank Him enough for bringing you into mine and Rip’s life!! So so blessed!!! We are living one day at a time and literally marveled, Libby, just plum marveled at how HE IS WORKING all things for our good and His glory!! We love you deeply and can’t WAIT to see you soon!
