Sowing and Reaping

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“Do not be deceived: God is not  mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap…the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.”  Galatians 6:7,8b

Think of the people who have poured into your life; those teachers who’ve helped to form the person you’ve become. Have you taken the time to tell those who’ve poured diligently into your life, the results of their discipleship?  It would bless them tremendously and you would be obeying the charge of verse 6. Back in Galatians 4:18 Paul says, “It is always good to be made much of, for a good purpose…”  God will be honored and glorified; as you make much of someone who sacrificially taught and trained you in righteousness.

Verse 7 addresses the sowing and reaping process.  When we sow into other peoples’ lives; we will reap the benefit, spiritually and emotionally and even possibly physically.

Many of us have grown weary in doing good. God wants us to be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might.  He wants you to sow into the lives of others, exactly the way others have sown into your life.   Ask the Lord to keep you from growing weary in well doing.  Reach out to those who are difficult and do good to them.   As far as possible; God wants us to be at peace with all men.  Pour into the lives of those God has given you.  God promises you will reap if you do not give up.

Prayer in Motion:

My prayer for you; is that you will not give up.  “God help my friend to have opportunity to do good to everyone, especially to those who are of the household of faith.”
