“The secret things belong to the LORD our God…” Deuteronomy 29:29
We all have them. Some can keep them; “till death do they part.” Others share them, except when it includes their own shadowy past. We call these things, SECRETS. A secret is hidden information known only to a few people.
At a very young age, children begin to whisper secrets to their parents, their siblings and their friends. Many times, the secure information; kept by the one person but about to be shared with another, is preceded with the question; “Can you keep a secret?”
Did you know God has secrets? Here are a few.
“My frame was not hidden from You, when I was made in secret…” Ps. 139:15 He knew you before you were knit in your mother’s womb.
“Our secret sins are in the light of His countenance.” Psalm 90:8 Nothing is hidden from God.
“He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle…” Job 15:8 He will hide you in His tabernacle.
If someone tells you a secret in confidence, please keep it between three people, you, the person and God.
“A talebearer reveals secrets, But he who is of a faithful spirit conceals a matter.” Proverbs 11:13
We are to hold “secret” information close to our hearts and pray over the matter. God is our faithful “secret keeper.” We should allow Him to reveal the hidden things; and faithfully conceal the matters that have been told to us in secret.
Prayer In Motion:
Lord, may I be a faithful spirit to anyone who confides in me. May I give godly counsel and pray diligently for the person who shared their secret. In Jesus Name. Amen
