Peace That Rules

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful,” Colossians 3:15.

We have an enemy that is completely and totally opposite of peace. If the peace of Christ isn’t ruling in your heart, if you are struggling and feel powerless instead of powerful (Colossians 1:29), if you aren’t mindful that you are dead and now hidden with Christ (Colossians 3:13), then it is safe to say you are listening to the lies of the enemy. You may have received God’s greatest gift, salvation, but you have not truly opened it. You are not using it, believing it, and trusting in it. We need to remember Galatians 2:20, “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”

He gave Himself when He was born and took on flesh to walk among us. He gave on Calvary so that we might live. We are to live here with His peace ruling our lives and that peace should stir in us a thankful heart.
