“All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, throughly equipped for every good work.”  2 Timothy 3:16-17

There’s an old  hymn that says, “Tell me the story of Jesus.  Write on my heart every word  Tell me the story most precious.  Sweetest that ever was heard.”

From the first words, “In the beginning”; to the last “Even so come quickly Lord Jesus!  The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, be with you all.  Amen…” God’s Word is our life line.  Through these old, old stories. we gain wonderful counsel, hope and peace from beginning to the end.

Those who don’t receive or believe God’s Word is alive and active and sharper than any two edged sword; have been deceived by Satan himself.  He began his deception in the garden of Eden; when he placed doubt in the mind of Eve.  Out of his slithering mouth came the words, “Did God really say?” Those cunning tactics are still the same today.  The devil wants you to question what “thus sayeth the Lord” on every turn.

Every word of our Bible is yes and amen.  There is truth in every word crafted by those men ordained of God; to write them down. Our Lord meant for us to read His Word; so that we could know how to live certainly, in an uncertain world.

These stories can leap off the page; right into your mind, heart and spirit; transforming you from glory to glory.  Believe me; there is an applicable story to anything and everything you are walking through.  Just look in the concordance of your Bible or go to BibleGateway.com.  There are all sorts of concordances; Bible studies, a wealth of information to be gleaned from this helpful website.

I would encourage you to start reading these old, old stories and ask God to write them on your heart.  You will be amazed at how He will use the stories of this most wonderful Book to transform your life.

Prayer in Motion:

Lord, thank You for leaving me and account of Your wonderful stories.  After I meet Jesus in heaven; I can hardly wait to meet these precious saints of old.  I wonder if we will recount these old, old stories and how they transformed their lives.  You alone know but I am forever grateful for this precious gift of Your Words of life.  I love you Jesus.  It’s in Your Name I offer up this prayer.  Amen
