Modern Day Idolatry – Part 2

While going to the Word of God and simply asking the Lord about things, what I share in this video is simply what I am reading in Scripture and processing through, (with the help of the Holy Spirit), when it comes to having an undo fondness for the things of this world – it’s ways, patterns, “oks”, behaviors, habits and protocol, and mindsets that has made its way into the church, into the mindsets of believers.

Please understand …. legalism is not of God, but living HOLY is. Being holy and living a holy life is supposed to have boundaries, limits and a way, pattern, habits, etc. that are separate from the world …that is set a part. People innately yearn for holy living,…they actually seek it out, but the enemy and the world will always offer “something else” to meet that yearning. But we, the church, are called to live (which means we are to present and provide) the Truth to the One who is holy in how we conduct ourselves in the world.

Please know…I’m still processing, but I trust fully in the character of God so it really doesn’t depend on Him telling me WHY He has been allowing the virus, and what He is doing in and among the church. I truly don’t ‘need’ to know, none of us do when we trust in His character and who God is.

Leviticus 22:32 – “You must not profane my holy name; I must be treated as holy among the Israelites. I am the Lord who sets you apart,”

1 Peter 1:16 – “for it is written, Be holy, because I am holy.”

Lisa Rippy

I’m Lisa Rippy, a happily married woman to my wonderful Rip. We have 5 children and we live right outside of Madison, MS. For as long as I can remember, I’ve always had a love for all things “homey” from decorating, simplifying, remodeling, organizing and simply turning a house into a "Home Sweet Home." My passion is helping families live the life they long for in the interior of their hearts and homes. It all requires thought, planning and work that Rip and I both love to do! But if there is anything at all I can do to help you and your home life, please reach out to me. Nothing would thrill me more than to inspire YOUR heart and home!
