Mercy Said No!

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

It’s Saturday morning, Rip just left for work and there is a full day of homemaking planned out for me today and I can’t wait! My list is long and I’m up and ready to go.

But this is also going to be a full day of praise, too! Rip and I woke up to so much we’re thankful for, and his prayer at breakfast was FILLED with, “Thank you Lord, that was huge!” Things God has done and is doing in our life is just, well, there’s no other word that defines His activity, His blessings, and His mercy other than HUGE!  So, the praise music is going to be cranked up high today, but you want to really know why? Why I’m so full this morning of love and gratitude toward my Father? It’s because in my own personal life, here is what God has done…rescued me, redeemed me, restored me, and revived me!!! And I can tell you this with all certainty – I deserved none of it, but His mercy said, “No” to everything that tried to defeat me, depress me, debilitate me, and destroy me. And I can tell you this with all certainty, too …. His Mercy said NO to all, to everything, that is trying accomplish the same exact things in your life.

His Mercy said NO!

And when we believe that with all certainty, that the work of the Cross said, “NO, you can’t have her. No, you can’t defeat her. No, you can’t depress, debilitate or destroy her”, then we just stepped into the promise of the Cross — abundant and free living! Those things that try to weaken our faith are defeated and they have no more voice in our life.  Those things that try to lessen our joy, deplete our strength and depress our living … CAN’T!  The Mercy of God wins … every time!

Homemakers, let’s get up and praise Him today! If we’re cooking, cleaning, shopping, mopping or windexing….let’s Praise Him because His mercy said No!  He’s so good…so so good.

Oh Lisa, this is all so true and so powerful! I echo all you have said. We really are free! Free to be everything He has called us to be. I am so thankful that His mercy said “no” on my behalf! Love you my sister and lifelong friend!
