Looking for Redemption

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“And coming in that instant she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem.” Luke 2:38

All over the world, people are looking for redemption.  Some turn to alcohol, others to prescription drugs, some to pornography or sex outside of marriage.  There is a hole in the soul of every created human being; that longs to be filled. The world makes certain to offer glittery opportunities; edging out any room for a Savior.

Two schemes are promoted by Satan himself.  Some humans seek anything that will thrill their starving souls. Social media makes that easy.  For other empty souls;  the enemy plops sin right in front of them and they willingly take the bait.  Their flesh gives in automatically because there is no conviction from the Holy Spirit.

In the day of Christ’s birth, there lived a prophetess named Anna.  After losing her dear husband early in their marriage; (She had now been a widow for eighty four years.) she immediately began to serve God in the temple with fasting and prayers night and day.  After coming to see the Christ child, she began to give thanks to God, for the long awaited Redeemer of the world.

She spoke of Him to all those who were looking for redemption in Jerusalem. Luke 2: 38b

Are we speaking to all those who are looking for redemption? Precious sister or brother in Christ; I implore you in Christ; “Speak to all who are looking for redemption.”

“Now is the acceptable time.  Today is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2

Prayer in Motion:

Wonderful Savior, “all of my days are held in Your hands, crafted into Your perfect plan.”  You orchestrated my conception and birth before the foundation of the earth. You drew me to Yourself, by the power of the Holy Spirit. Today, Jesus, I am asking You, to help me boldly speak to those looking for redemption.  Fill my soul with a hunger and thirst for all the lost souls, with whom I am to speak.  In Jesus Name.  Amen
