It’s All About You, Jesus

As I was praying early one morning, just talking with the Lord about things I had been reading in my Bible, a thought came to my mind and I knew it was Him. It was one word. Just a word, but when it entered into my mind, I knew it was the Holy Spirit.

The word was –

Change.

That was it. One very soft whisper of …

Change.

And for the next several months, He not only defined what that one word meant for my life, but as only a loving Father will do,

He prepared me for it.  And through all those months of preparation, it was whittled down to this:

It’s all about You, Jesus.

Those 5 words that are the cornerstone for the new Interior Inspirations.

Interior Inspirations has  a:

– new mission
– new connections
– new resources

The bottom line is this – as children of God who have placed our faith in Jesus Christ, we are here on this earth for one purpose – to know Christ and to make Him known. That’s it. And how we make Him known is the most intimate, personal, purposeful, and planned out life for each one of us, customized by God. One things for sure, when Christ ascended to be with His Father, He didn’t say,

“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and grow the number of followers you have on social media, or therefore, go and grow the number of digits you see in your bank accounts and business portfolios. Or therefore, go, and grow your own personal influence in this big o’ world so that your name is great. So that people notice you. Notice your fashions. Notice your possessions. Notice your titles. Notice your accomplishments. Notice your leadership. Notice your style and personality. Notice your strengths. All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make sure they see you.”

No, Christ’s words were so very clear (and full of the most earnest compassion) –

Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20.

We are here on this earth for just a short time, and we are here for a kingdom assignment. We are here because our purpose in waking up each day is to live a life that speaks this into our world….

It’s all about You, Jesus.

It’s not all about me.

We are created to know Him intimately. For real. Not head facts. But heart findings. Heart findings is when we experience Him and find what is true and eternal. We are here to experience Him through His Word, through ceaseless prayer, and while we trust and obey Him.

We’re here to to make Him known as He has allowed us to know Him experientially – bringing the Father glory as we live in His missional rest. What is missional rest? It’s when you know the mission of your life (to know Christ and make Him known), and you let every priority, every choice, every decision and direction rest in that one mission. Literally, everything about you abides in Him.

“Abide in me as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me,” John 15:4.

Nothing brings our own personality to a sweeter stillness than getting up each day and realizing we are here for one assignment – carrying out our Father’s business.

“And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business”

God has said what is beautiful in His eyes; a gentle and quiet spirit.  He does His greatest work through a spirit that has been stilled by total trust in Him. When we follow Jesus in the gospels, He never demonstrated a hustle and bustle approach to living mission-driven. In quiet confidence, He demonstrated the servant way of rearranging lives with the Father’s love. Like Christ’s mission while on this earth, we, too, are not here for us.  We are truly here to have our entire existence fully occupied with the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20.

Interior Inspirations has a new mission.  We no longer are a service-driven business, but a mission-focused ministry.  As we launch all things new, (new website, new resources, new connections), it’s our prayer that you will find and experience the Father’s love for you, because what motivates me to encourage and equip you is a pure & simple truth …

It’s all about You, Jesus.
