Intentional FOCUS

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“The effect of righteousness will be peace, and the result of righteousness, quietness and trust forever.  My people will abide in a peaceful habitation, in secure dwellings, and in quiet resting places.”  Isaiah 32:17

This is my confession.  I am terribly disorganized.  There, I said it. This applies to my personal affairs.  I have to work hard to keep any resemblance of order, on the surface of my home.  I was not raised that way.  My mom kept a very orderly house. I cannot find things when I need them because I neglect to put them back in their proper place.

I am easily distracted; so I have to get up before most of the world wakes up, in order to have a quiet time.  Other wise, it will not happen.  Can I over come this seemingly engraved pattern of life?  When I say it will take a miracle.  It will take a miracle.

What do I know about God?

“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all time, you may abound in every good work.” 2 Corinthians 9:8

“I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.”  Philippians 4:13

ALL THINGS!  I believe I can overcome my  inability to stay organized, but it will not be without FOCUS. Intentional FOCUS

Nothing is too hard for the Lord.  If we know Jesus, He will help us. It is easier to just go with the way we are in our flesh.  If we want to change, we must pursue it.  He is bigger than any bad habits of disorganization, bigger than any A.D.D.

I am asking God to “Teach me His ways, that I may present to Him a heart of wisdom.”  God Himself is my only hope. The Bible tells us, He is a God of order.  I long to be a woman of order.

I do not wish to be numbered with the idle and complacent. Neither do you my dear reader.  Neither do you.

Prayer in Motion:

Help me Lord, to purge all that needs purging; in my physical house, as well as my soul.  Teach me to focus on You first, people next and to put my house in order.  I want to maintain my home in an orderly fashion, as unto the Lord.  I want to glorify You Lord on earth, as You are glorified in heaven.  In Jesus Name.  Amen
