Hi and Happy 1st Monday in December, and Day 2 of Advent. Are you following an Advent calendar this year? If not, be sure to check out Pinterest for all sorts of Advent Calendar ideas.
Well, here we are in Lesson 3 of our bible study and y’all, this has to be a lesson that RADICALLY impacted my life as I was “walking it out” with the Lord. As I was reading about His Word and about Jesus, I began to see even more clearly the joy we have in loving our bibles! And just what that means in our life.
But as we go to our lesson, there’s something I want to share, first, for us to keep in mind –
In our study, “loving our bibles” means “obeying our bibles” because Scripture tells us –
Psalm 119:167 – I obey your statutes, for I love them greatly.
John 14:23 – Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.
1 John 2:5 – But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him:
After you watch the video, here is the written portion of our Lesson 3 – Greater Intimacy with God – Lesson 3 WORD
But after you work through this bible study, I want to ask you to please take the 17 minutes it takes to listen to this young man shares what happened in his life when he began to read THE WORD OF GOD in a way he never had before. He tells in this video (in weeping joy) what happened in his life when he began to see Christ “through” the supernatural and active pages of His bible.
After you watch this video, then you will understand why I selected that particular featured image for this post — of the little child holding his bible 🙂
Here is what Beth Moore had on her Instagram that I mentioned in the video —
