God's Word Holds You

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.  John 1:1   The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.”  John 1:14

While talking to the Lord one morning; I said, “God, I want to hold onto Your Word.”  Those words had barely come out of my mouth, when I realized His Word holds me.  His Word holds you too dear one.

God calls His Word, the Sword of the Spirit.  Why? It is “alive, active and sharper than any two edged sword and pierces both joint and marrow.”  His Word is filled with promises that are yes and amen.

Allow today’s verses to penetrate your mind and your heart!

In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  The more and more we purpose to hold onto God’s Word  the more we will realize, His Word holds onto us.

Jesus; the Word, holds onto you.

God is working all things together for your good and His glory. That’s a promise you can count on.  The Word will convict you. He will sustain you.  He will comfort you and give you perfect peace, because your mind is stayed upon Him.  You are in the world but not of the world.  He wants to “teach you and train you in righteousness.”

When Jesus transcended to heaven; He left you with His Holy Spirit.  Imagine what the Spirit of the Living God could do with a heart that holds onto His every word.   I pray right now that you and I will hang onto this life giving, life preserving Word; because He is holding onto you.

Prayer in Motion:

Word of God; You have spoken.  You hold onto me.  Thank You Jesus for being the Word Incarnate, the Word made flesh among us.  You came to seek and to save that which was lost. You came to seek and to save that which was lost.  You came for me.  I am forever grateful Lord.  I pray all of this in Jesus Name.  Amen
