Today I want to look at a familiar Chapter in our Bibles, John 20. Sometimes the very chapters in our Bibles that we have read many times before, that we have marked and underlined countless times, speak a fresh Word over us. For the next several posts we will be camping out in the book of John looking at the fresh words He has given me.
In verse 2, Mary comes to the tomb and when she finds Jesus not there, she goes looking for the disciples. This verse tells us she went to Peter and John, but look at how John refers to himself, “and the other disciple, the one whom Jesus loved, ”
Friend, do you know Jesus loves YOU? Yes, He truly and deeply loves you. He loves me. Jesus loves us! This is good news, this is the reason to have joy. The Savior of the world, God in the flesh, loves us!
John was so certain of it and he was very fond of letting all the world know, ” I am the disciple whom Jesus loved!”. We too should shout it from the rooftops.
Do you know this? I mean, down deep do you know it? Do you have a head knowledge or a heart knowledge of His love for you?
Today, I want you to KNOW that He loves you. He loves all of us so much that He stretched His arms wide, hung on a Cross and died just so we could be with Him now and forever. That is real love, that is deep love, that love flows freely to all who will receive it. THAT love is yours and it is mine. I am going to think on that love today….
