Can't Take That Away

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famiine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” Romans 8:35

Priscilla Shirer says in her book “The Armor of God,”  – “None of the ailments of life can take away what the cross has given you.” No-thing can separate us from the love of Christ.  No life event. No broken relationship.  No health issue. No Loss. No persecution. No disaster.  NO-THING!

When life is disrupted by any of the above events; we feel fractured at the least; broken at the most.  The “thing” tries to steal our joy, our hope and our desire to move forward.  It tries to suck the life out of us, taking away our energy, our focus and if possible, even our “God callings.”

But who or what can separate us from a love that can never be taken away?  The love of Christ is as high as the heavens. The heavens are telling of the glory of God.  His love is as deep  as the ocean floor.  His forgiveness is as far as the east is from the west and He remembers it no more.  His love is amazing, steady and unchanging.  Hallelujah!

So when life events happen; and they will, as long as you are living and breathing earth’s air.  We all sin and fall short of the glory of God.  His ultimate purpose for us; is to glorify Him on earth as He is glorified in heaven.  Can you?  Glorify Him through it all?  Have you learned to trust your Lord and Savior with every single life event?

The love of God cannot be taken away from you.  His Name is Emmanuel, God with us. (Matthew 1:23) He is the Lord and He does not change.(Malachi 3:6) He loves you with an everlasting love (Jeremiah 31:3) and underneath you are His everlasting arms.(Deuteronomy 33:27)  No height nor depth nor any other created thing;(Romans 8:39) can take that away from you, child of the Most High God

Prayer in Motion:

Oh God, I know that You will never leave me nor forsake me. You stated that promise in Hebrews 13:5  You are a promise keeper.  I trust You right now with this life event.  “No weapon formed against me can prosper.” (Isaiah 54:17)  You are for me and not against me both now and always.(Psalm 56:9)  Praise Your Holy Name.  In Jesus Name I offer up this prayer.  Amen.
