Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” John 8:12
Do you remember the last time you were distraught over something? How did you encourage yourself? Or did someone lift your spirits with a word of encouragement? There is something about getting in the sunshine that lifts our spirit.
Jesus is the light of the world. He pours rays of hope into our minds and hearts if only we allow Him. He brings brightness into our darkest places. I need sunshine in a major way. The need for Vitamin D calls my name.
This song was written by Kenneth Gamble quite some time ago.
“I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin’ for
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.
Look all around, there’s nothin’ but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin’ but blue skies.”
We love the days of blue skies and sunshine; however,
Will we always have a bright sun shiny day?
