Be Strong and Courageous

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

My husband and I greeted each other Christmas morning with a kiss and an embrace; as well as a “Merry Christmas”.  It has been a precious 2015 week-end with our family.  We are so blessed to have our children and grandchildren live nearby.  I am grateful and reminded to pray for those parents who are estranged  from their children or are separated by distance from their families.

Looking back on 2015, there have been many struggles and challenges but God has been with us, just as He promised.  He is always with us; so we need not fear 2016.  No matter our circumstances, the Name of the Lord is a Strong Tower.  The righteous run into it, and they are saved….safe in the arms of the One; who is ever interceding for us, at the right hand of the Father.

Our God is strong and courageous.  The challenges that lie ahead; are not too difficult for Him.  He is already there; because He is Omnipotent, (All Powerful).  He is Omnipresent, (Always with us).  He is Omnicient. (He knows the beginning from the end.)  He can be trusted!

TIME TO SING AN OLD SONG…. IF YOU KNOW IT…SING IT…..IF NOT; READ ALOUD THE WORDS.

“Blessed Assurance, Jesus is mine.  Oh what a foretaste of glory divine.  Heir of salvation, purchase of God.  Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.  This is my story.  This is my song. Praising my Savior, all the day long.”

You were purchased by God, for His glory.  (Here’s another song) “His strength is perfect when our strength is gone.  He’ll carry us, when we can’t carry on.  Raised in His power, the weak become strong.”

Your God waits to pour strength and courage into your very soul.  He will supply your every need according to His riches in Christ Jesus.  Lean upon His everlasting arms.  He never becomes tired or weary.  Trust in the One who is your strength and courage!

Prayer in Motion:

Lord, thank You for being my strength and courage!  I love You Lord and trust You with all my heart!  I know You will carry me both now and always!  In Jesus Name.  Amen
