“Then Moses said to the LORD, “Oh my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant; but I am slow of speech and slow of tongue. So the LORD said to him,”Who made man’s mouth?  Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing of the blind?  Have not I, the Lord?”  Exodus 4:10-11

Lisa Terkeurst  made a statement in her book, “the best yes.” She said, “My imperfections will never override God’s promises. God’s promises are not dependent on my ability to always choose well, but rather on HIs ability to use well.”

God loves to use a person who is humble and readily admits; “It’s not about my ability but availability to my Lord.”  Is God calling you to something out of your comfort zone?  Even the thought of doing this God sized task; makes you shake in your boots.

Moses was God’s yes man.  Do you wonder why he was so afraid to speak in front of people?  Public speaking; is one of the top ten things; to strike fear in the heart of God’s people.  We fear criticism and judgement of those listening.  Why?  Because we know our own critical and judgmental nature.  We never want to bring reproach upon ourselves.

The anger of the Lord was kindled against Moses.  He allowed Aaron, Moses brother to speak in his place.  Here’s the thing.  If God calls you to His God sized task; He will provide you with the means to perform it.  How do I know this?  Scripture declares, “Faithful is He who has called you; He will bring it to pass.”  Just make certain it is He who is calling you; not yourself or another human voice.

Your Faithful God will supply you with every single detail.  That’s the way He works.  He won’t call you to something and then leave you without the tools and help you need; to complete the God sized task.  “Do not fear nor be afraid, for the Lord your God is with you, wherever you go” or whatever you do.

After you have made yourself available to God; pray the following prayer:

Lord Jesus, I don’t want to argue with You.  I want to be available and obey Your calling on my life.  I want to trust You and stand upon Your promises.  Forgive me for all the times I have allowed fear to usurp Your calling.  Here I am Lord, available to You.  In Jesus Name.  Amen
