Hi there! Hope you are having a wonderful day!
As you watch this video, you will want to print off this PDF Habit #1 Contentment – Bible study lesson – It is a 2 page listening guide, so as we go a little deeper into this area of contentment, we can jot down some notes.
Now that you’ve watched the video, when you have the time, please listen to Dr. Adrian Rogers teach on, “Cultivating Contentment in the Home.” It was in this sermon when I learned just how being covetous is not only the polar opposite of being content, but it so grieves the heart of God. He goes into such detail, too. Powerful message!! He is now with Jesus but as a young mom, I’d listen to him on the radio nearly every morning. He was pastor of Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN.
Here are a couple of printables I found on the web and a book that looks so interesting —
If you have read this book, comment below! Let us know what you thought…
I love the subtitle – “A godly woman’s adornment.”
Be inspired and be BEATIFIC friend!!

Haven’t watch Dr. Rogers yet! I will do that after VBS. Love what you said at the end… “Lord, I’m here to report for duty! What’s my to do list?” Nugget for the day!!
It’s a blessing to ask, isn’t it Shirlee?!?
Hi Lisa, I am subscribed to your videos on youtube and I just had to subscribe and become a member. 🙂 So, I am pretty new to it all. This is my FIRST bible study lesson I have ever done and I had a questions regarding covet? Is it wrong to try and get ahead in life and make investments for your kids and there kids, wanting nice things for yourself , buying pieces to make your house a home etc. I am just trying to get a better understanding. Thank you for your videos, I am so glad I stumbled upon your youtube channel. I just became a stay at home mom after working full time as a Paralegal. I felt like these videos were talking to me, right up my alley. Thank you for doing what you do!
Hi Rosa and that is SUCH A good question!! I will be sure to answer that in our next Bible study video because if you had it, I’m sure there may have been others, too, who were wondering the same thing. And I’m SO glad you are a part of this, too…please keep asking questions and sharing – it’s why we are here! To encourage and help and serve one another. 🙂
Agree with Shirlee 100%, because a lot of times MY to do list never gets completed and this really leaves me discontented. It’s not about me and my to do list it’s about Him and His to do list. Thank You.
Amen!!
Oh Sweet Lisa, this is so good. I. MUST. MOVE. ON. at least for now. I have watched and listened to these videos several times. I have taken several pages of notes. So good. I am a very content person but this is just so good. Did I mention this was good? lol
I think you did! hahahaha!
