5 Ways to Decorate a Fall Mantle

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

While I’ve been searching for ideas for our new mantle, (thanks to Blake Harris Lawns…yes!!! Mr. Blake Harris has many many talents and one happens to be an eye for design), I came across a few bloggers that may not be new to you, but now that I am all in with my business sleeves pushed way back, I’m getting a look into some other designers/decorators blogs that are so inspirational. Here are 3 I’d love to share with you and from them, we can see 5 ways to decorate a fall mantle.

Meet Craftsberrybush.com Now, these several photos are from her blog so if you want more from Lucy’s thoughts on her mantle, check out her blog and be sure to visit her Crafts & DIY page!

So Lucy started and stuck with this one large round gold trimmed mirror …

Then she added a few pieces of decor’ …. (I can’t begin to tell you how  much I love putting in little sprigs of something from the yard into a vase, bucket, tray, pitcher, cup, jar,…you get the idea!)

One thing that (in my opinion) makes this so pretty, is not only the glass vases/jars in autumn colors, but the that added texture with the round basket giving it all just the right balance.

Imagine the basket down, and it’s still very pretty and simple – add the basket and it just looks more Boho in my opinion.

If you removed the round basket, scaled down to one vase and then added a row of candles, you have created another completely different and very elegant look. Let’s take in more of the room …

How about these layered pictures? Takes it from simple and elegant, to a more Boho look with the basket, to now a more contemporary look with the layered pictures. And all that changed were the few accessories that can be placed with a round mirror. Love decorating, don’t you?

Ok, so I’ve never met Joan, creator of 2 Ladies and a Chair, but hope to one day because I was totally sucked in and glued to her blog…page after page after page! I mean, just look at her fall mantle…

Want a closer look … so fall, and pretty.

Let’s go back to Lucy’s for a minute … here she took books, a pitcher, a dainty little teapot, creamer, dried hydrangeas, a neutral fall wreath, tucked a couple of good ol’ tarnished goblets up into the arrangement and created this.

Cloths pins, y’all!! Cloths pins! How absolutely darlin’ is that!? And then to set me over the top with …wrapping them in jute!

Thedesigntwins.com are where you will find Jodie and Julie, twins who can inspire an ant!! They are sooo talented and their posts are always pointing us to not only decor, but “how to create” an atmosphere that just says, “we want you here.”

Enjoy their latest fall festive decorated home but first, look at Jodie’s beautiful mantle –

And then there is the Happy Happy Nester! You’re going to love & pin all her posts…her delicious recipes, her DIY’s and crafts, her decor’!  There are touches of joy for all things homey in every photo, every article…it’s all rich with Home & Family goodness! The all white and neutral mantle with that darlin’ “gather” garland is so cute!

So, while you are decorating your mantle for fall and even for the holidays, how about whipping up some of these delicious pumpkins treats that Amanda, at The Chunky Chef. has created! I can’t turn down anything pumpkin, so these will be sitting on our island by the end of the day!

Have a great time creating a special memory because  . . . that is what homemaking inspires!
