Short Circuited

“If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear.” Psalm 66:18

Have you ever been working  with an electrical tool and all of a sudden; your tool loses power?  It’s so frustrating.  Your work is temporarily stopped.  You can no longer complete your project; until the power is restored.

There are a few possible explanations for your temporary delay. The tool itself has malfunctioned; in which case, you either have to repair it or buy another tool.   Maybe the plug has been pulled out from the receptacle.  Possibly, a power surge has caused the fuse to short circuit.  Easy fix.  Go to the fuse box to see if fuse is blown or just temporarily shut down. Just click the Off switch to On.

Christians can blow a fuse either in anger; using wrong judgment, or giving a wrong response to life’s trials.  When acting out in the flesh; we temporarily lose our power.

                                                              WE BECOME SHORT CIRCUITED.

Our verse of the day tells us exactly why we become short circuited.  We have all the power we need to pray and do the work of our God given ministry.

HOW CAN OUR POWER BE RESTORED?

When we confess and repent of our sins; we are restored to full fellowship with our Lord.  With the Lord, it’s as if the sin never happened.  His forgiveness brings total and complete restoration of power to complete your life and ministry.

HOW LONG WILL WE REMAIN SHORT CIRCUITED?

Our God wants us to operate without any short circuits; however, He is mindful we are still living in our flesh.  He knows we will sin and fall short of His glory.  He made provision for immediate restoration both now and always.  Don’t allow pride to short circuit your fellowship with the Lord.  Confess right now.  Repent and come back.  Enjoy the relationship with God for which you were created.  Operate in His power and His strength.

Prayer in Motion:

I worship You Jesus in Spirit and in truth.  Forgive me for responding in my human flesh.  Spirit of the Living God, help me to always defer to You.  I long to have my Power Source working, for Your honor and glory.  I am sorry for all the times I have wasted in selfish pride.  Search me Oh God and see if there be any wicked way in me.  Lead me to the way everlasting.  In Jesus Name.  Amen
