The Lord's Hand

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Exodus 13:3 …”Remember this day in which you went out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out of this place…”

God loves to show out and show off His great power and willingness to help His children.  After forty years of wandering in the wilderness; the Lord delivered the Israelites from Egypt with a strong hand. Whether you are a brand new Christian or a seasoned believer, His hand is upon you, while you are doing everyday chores; like washing clothes, buying groceries or ironing a shirt!

When you  begin to commit short verses to memory, God will begin to use those verses to encourage your heart right at the time you need it, even in the middle of a traffic jam. God told Moses over and over, “Tell my people.”  Then he would tell the Israelites what God said. Today, God reveals His heart for His children through His Word.  You can use the concordance in the back of your Bible to look up related words pertaining to your request.  For instance; if you need hope, in the middle of your wilderness experience, just look up the word hope in your Bible’s concordance.  Needing some courage? You will find promises in the Old and New Testament that will instill courage in your mind and heart.

When you are doubting that God hears your prayers, remember this Word,  “For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer…1 Peter 3:12a  God’s hand is always upon His children.  His hand is with you, to help you every single day, whether you are at home, at work or driving your kids to a soccer game.

Prayer in Motion:

Lord, may I remember Your hand is always with me  in simple everyday life, as well as in the wilderness challenges that may come my way.
