Praying with Confidence

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

“Give heed to the voice of my cry, My King and my God, For to You I will pray,” Psalm 5:2.

So many of us throw our prayers upward toward heaven, praying them half heartedly, without really expecting an answer from the God who always hears.  Broken hearts pray prayers between tears and sobs, to a God who stands ready to heal, forgive and restore.  We pray them for ourselves, our family, our friends and our world.

Why would we pray with low expectations; to the God who created us to have fellowship with Him?  He gave His life; so that we could have His Holy Spirit, who stirs us to pray.  He always has a fresh word for us; from His precious Word. We can pray His Word with bold confidence.  Are you praying with confidence regarding that longstanding prayer request?  Remember Abraham? Remember Joseph?  Remember Isaac and Jacob? These men of old prayed with confidence, to the God who heard and would answer at the right time.

How does one know if he or she is praying according to God’s will?

If you pray from His Word, you can know you are praying His heart.

God’s Word tell us, His eyes are always searching to and fro, looking for those whose hearts long to be completely His.  Are you longing to talk to Him and hear from Him on a daily basis?

You were made to enter His throne room; confidently expecting to hear His voice.  Wait for Him.  He will hear from heaven, forgive our sins and heal our land.

Prayer In Motion:

Oh God, may I confidently and boldly come into Your throne room and expect You to hear my prayer.  I want to pray “fervent, effectual prayers that avail much.”  In Jesus Name, Amen
