My seven year old grand daughter was praying and she ended her prayer with, “And God please take away MiMi’s wrinkles in her neck.” I said yes Lord, AMEN! I agree. What a wonderful prayer Ryann. Ryann worries about my wrinkled neck. I believe she thinks it’s painful or maybe beyond ugly. Anyway, I just love that she actually prayed about it and no; I was not offended by it. Her child-like faith made me smile.
God tells us to have child like faith when we come to Him, expecting Him to hear and answer our prayers. A child trusts those explicitly who are in charge of him or her. Have you acknowledged that God is totally in charge of you?
Trust involves immovable, unshakeable faith. The kind of faith that keeps a person knowing he or she has been heard and trusts the listener to handle his or her request, with the requestor’s best interest at heart. That is true of our God. He is a good, good Father. He always has your good and His glory in mind.
As His child, you know you can trust Him explicitly. God is who He says He is. He always does what He says He will do. You can do all things through Christ that strengthens you. Who couldn’t believe in a God like that? He can be trusted.
Do you trust God deeply and unequivocally, with true child-like faith? I pray we all do. God says when we are neither hot nor cold, he will spit us out of His mouth. We pray ambivalent prayers and God wants us to pray with great expectation that He hears and will answer. Faith is trust in what you cannot see but know to be true in the core of your being.
Prayer:
Lord, I want to always pray with child like faith. With the same faith and trust I invited You to be my Savior and Lord, I trust You with every prayer. You always hear me. You always answer in Your time and in Your way. I love You my Lord and my God. Amen
